We thought we got asked some silly things….

We get many weird and wonderful questions here at Me Me Me which we always do our best to respond to and help in any way we can.

We thought we had had some funny questions until we saw this…..

These were posted on an Australian Tourism Website and the answers are the actual responses by the website officials,
who obviously have a great sense of humor
(not to mention a low tolerance threshold for cretins!)

Nice Day for a Winter Wedding

Stuck with the age-old dilemma of how to dress for a winter wedding? I am.

I’m attending a wedding on Saturday and still I have nothing to wear and the panic is slowing beginning to settle in.

I do have a wardrobe full of clothes but obviously had wanted something new for such an occasion, unfortunately too many pennies spent on cocktails and other ‘must have’ purchases have also left me with a small budget!

So rather than a whole new outfit, I have decided to bring a new lease of life to an existing one with some key accessories!

I adore the Lilly bag by Jamin Puech, the metallic knitted leather embellished with brown and lilac beads is glamorous and fun, perfect for day and evening.

Next jewellery…the collection by Philippe Ferendis is beautiful and elegant, prefect for summer and winter weddings. Philippe Ferendis has designed for Chanel, Balmain, Givenchy, Oscar de la Renta and Nina Ricci and really with a CV like that how can you resist!!

With my outfit almost complete I leave you with some accessories from Rebecca, Appartement a Louer and Lucid Mundi which would be perfect for attending any nippy nuptials.

New found love….

516

I stumbled upon this brilliant and bizarre brand by mistake, but what a good mistake to make. Now I’m aware that this is certainly not everyone’s cup of tea but for me….this could be love.

Gilding Primal Instinct lives in a macabre surrealist dream-scape nestled between the worlds of fashion and fine art. The brand, headed by SoHo based metal smith Danielle Nicole Hills, challenges its wearers to step outside themselves and look at our fundamental nature as a species.

The pieces are not necessarily ‘practical’ for day to day ware, but be assured I am going to try.

Perhaps not for you but with Halloween coming up…. these would be the perfect finishing touch to any outfit!

For much more ‘wearable’ jewellery the Alcozer & J line offers something a little different.  Supported by artisan goldsmiths with a deep knowledge of craft techniques and a close team of young professionals, Alcozer’s designs are couture; true works of art composed with semi-precious stones, pearls and crystals mounted on metal fusions, all made with a personal and original touch.

Hakuna Matata…

…….What a wonderful phrase!

If like me, you are a massive fan of all things Disney then you will understand the excitement I felt to find out the Lion King was being released in 3D on the 7th October.

It was my favourite Disney film the first time round, so to have it re-released, and in 3D no less was almost too much for me! Just image you could almost touch Simba and Mufasa, really quite amazing.

In tribute to my favourite film I have purchased a lion charm for my Troll bracelet. If like me you want to remember or pay tribute to you favourite Disney film there is an array of options. Chamilia offer a whole Disney range, while you can get giraffes in Pandora, and Lions in Troll.

Enjoy. x X x

Hot colour trend this autumn….Blue

After a dismal and almost non existent summer it’s refreshing and exciting to see colour bursting on to the catwalk for autumn/winter.

After several seasons of nudes and neutral tones, you can see an obvious move to colour in jewellery and accessories this coming season, and the stand out colour is blue. If you think soft hues are dull and you need a colour pick me up for Autumn/Winter that this is certainly a trend that is going to appeal.

Color-Codes-Blue

Add a bright accessory to your look like a Le’Bulga bag, BCBG watch, Tresor Paris bracelet, Alcozer & J necklace or Storywheels earrings; go for one bright item which will become the focus of your outfit. Mixing bright and vivid colours in the summer is fun and playful, but in the winter allow the focus to be on one colour.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

As well as providing a platform for breast cancer charities to raise awareness of their work and of the disease, BCAM is also a prime opportunity to remind women to be breast aware for earlier detection.

Every 10 minutes someone hears the devastating news that they have breast cancer.

Buying a charm or bead is an easy way to show your support, to get involved and help raise money for people affected by the disease. Each of the below pieces of jewellery contributes to breast cancer charities.

Every penny raised will help to make a real difference to the lives of people affected by breast cancer today.

We are certainly all for supporting this very important cause.

Long to be healthier: to have more energy, vitality, and well-being?

2011-09-14_121721

It seems that everyone is trying a new diet, beginning a new health regime, or going to start going to the gym! But how often do we all really continue with our inspired plans to get fitter and feel better? Well certainly in my case very rarely, so when I heard about the launch of The Health College I saw a glimmer of hope.

The Health College will be opening its doors on the 20th September when you will be able to hear talks from Paul Johnson, Margaret Hall and Paul Lambeth, who will talk about principles that you can build into your daily routine to help you to live a healthy and fulfilling life. (The talks will run form 7-9pm, with refreshments from 6.30pm.)

The rising sun organic farm, home to the new Health College has now been running successfully for 20 years, with the growing being done by volunteers and individuals with learning difficulties. Recently funding was obtained to build a teaching kitchen and classroom so that schoolchildren will have the opportunity to not only grow but cook the organic produce. The next logical step was to have a program where adults would also learn how to improve their health and well being, and so now they have The Health College.

With courses running on the 2nd and 23rd of October I for one will signing up straight away, the course offers you the knowledge to make change to your life and then stick with them.

If you too want to sign up contact:

Venue is The Rising Sun Organic Farm, Kings Road North, Wallsend, NE28 9JL.

To book a place please contact The Health College tel.  07415913019

To reserve a place for the talk call:

From Soldier to Soldier.

FROM SOLDIER TO SOLDIER

A fantastic new bracelet range has just come out and we are all for supporting it.

From Soldier to Soldier is a fund raising and awareness campaign based on the sales of a designer version of the survival bracelets worn by many soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The bracelets in the field are braided by the soldiers with parachute cord. They are known as survival bracelets, because they can be unravelled and the paracord can be used for many purposes in a pinch. They are also exchanged among soldiers as friendship bracelets. Often, a uniform button is sewn on and used as the clasp.

The designer version has a sterling silver clasp shaped like a uniform button and is extremely tightly braided. The ‘From Soldier to Soldier’ bracelets are a stylish fashion statement with a conscience and a powerful fund-raiser in honour of our troops.

£15 of the RRP of each bracelet will be donated to Help for Heroes Trading Ltd. which Gift Aids all of its taxable profits to Help for Heroes.

Help for Heroes, a non-political and non-critical charity provides direct, practical support to members of the Armed Forces and their families who have been injured in the line of duty.

This is juts one small way to show our support for our troops and their families, get yours today from Me Me Me Accessories.
